An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedThese are great ideas. They are very related to the #1 feature request - https://movielens.uservoice.com/forums/238501-general/suggestions/5579999-bring-back-buddies-a-unique-and-interesting-fea

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedIf you rate 15 movies, you'll get switched to a personalized recommender, and this won't be an issue. This only affects "the bard". You can select a recommender by clicking the star icon in the top right.

Thanks for the bug report, and sorry for your troubles! There is a historical context here that manifests itself in the new site as a bug. The movie is in the system (added in april 2005) but never got promoted to “live” during the era of our “resident movie guru”, so it’s effectively hidden. That is easily fixed for this movie (done).
We’ll prioritize building better tools for helping the community address these issues without turning to our support forum.
An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedAnabaena - thanks for adding movies! We need to build the interface for re-introducing movies that were previously rejected from the system (years ago, we had a more US-centric approach to managing the movie database). That update is coming, sorry for the delay and the troubles!

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedWe will likely add something like this. There's some clamoring in other threads for more powerful search features, and "boolean filters" are a pretty clear improvement over the current interface, assuming they are pretty easy to use.

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedWe have not implemented this feature in the new site. If we hear from others that this is important, we'll put it on the list.

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commented@anonymous: our aim is not to insult you. However, your feedback is not constructive, and therefore not helpful to us moving forward. What do you mean by "everything"? The header text on each page?

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedCool to know that you're using movielens on an HTPC. We hadn't considered a dark color theme before.

I have had similar ideas in the past; thinking about how interfaces like these might lead to the best historical representation of my ratings is interesting. I like the drag and drop idea.

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedCool ideas!
Our tagging system is currently designed such that all tags are public, we might have to reimagine that decision if we were to overload tagging with ideas such as private-lists and recommendations. It would be nice to consolidate the lists ideas with the current tag features, though. We'll keep thinking about this going forward.

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedThanks for the feedback! A few notes:
* yes, we'll add in the "next" button at the bottom.
* we are considering adding "infinite scroll" (as long as the back button works right) which would be an alternative to the pager -

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedThat is too bad!
To clarify, are you seeing poor results on both the current site, and the beta site? Or does one seem to perform better than the other?

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedThanks for the suggestion. Tmdb has this information, so it would be pretty easy to add this feature.

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedCan you clarify what you mean by "hook up with"? Are links enough, or are you suggesting deeper integration?

An error occurred while saving the comment Max Harper commentedAwesome! Most of the feedback we've gotten so far is "not enough information density", so I am happy to hear a vote in the other direction. Maybe that means we're iterating towards a happy middle ground.
Sorry folks. Or data provider guidebox shut down their service. I'm looking for alternatives, but there are not any good ones.
