    I only just got my girlfriend to sign up to the old site so we could use this. It's very good.

    Very true, we’ve found in our research that this is the case. It would be nice to have a “rating mode” where you can turn the predicted stars off.

    The export to CSV option on the previous site is awesome.

    I think the current beta site would turn off any potentially interested developers because it just doesn't look like there's much here worth accessing, compared to the old site.

    Interesting! Hadn’t thought users would care. Let’s see if this issue gets more support.

    The two reasons for the current choice:

    1. part of our new site’s color palette
    2. we wanted the “rated” color to be more vibrant than the “predicted” color (unlike the current site).

    This confused me too.
    There are a lot of movies I've seen but haven't rated because I can't really remember what I thought of them. So not knowing which colour was "rated" and which was "predicted" wasn't obvious.
