Add a language filter for searches
One of the features that kept my interest with Movielens was how varied the nationality of the recommendations I received. looking at my current recommendations the top ones are all western films or foreign films that were redistributed in the west. Would it be possible to add a filter by language and/or nationality?

I would like to bump this. I would love to have the ability to only see search results for movies in English, and to have the ability to see search results that are *not* in English.
Ideally, this feature would be implemented in such a way that any language value could replace English.

This used to be part of search functionality before the move to the new user interface already so hopefully won't be too hard to put back. Would be great to it see again.

Interesting feedback! The new system's algorithm is only slightly tweaked. It is always interesting to hear about how these changes impact experiences.
We plan to add a language filter.
