can't you just go to the "movies I've rated" list yourself and then re-rate whatever you like? I don't see the benefit of being blind to you former rating.

I have only been a user of this website for less than a year and I can already see that I will eventually need to re-rate many movies to keep the recommendations accurate. Anything that would help with this would be awesome!!!

I’m thinking this could double as a feature to showcase movies I liked but haven’t seen in a long time, or unexpected dislikes I might be likely to reconsider.

This is an interesting idea and I see how it could be useful but is something a user should consent to. Perhaps a "re-rate movies" or some other more appropriate/telling title or explanation as long as it is clearly stated or opt-in or both.

I can see a large demographic of users mistakenly thinking that something is glitching in the system rather than that ML is trying to improve its algorithm.

Interesting idea, I see your point. I really like this! For me, as I rate more and more movies, my "scaling" ends up changing quite a bit. For instance. I might give movie X a 5 star rating at first. But as I rate (and watch) more movies, I might realize that Movies Y and Z are actually just a bit better than movie X, to which I should maybe have given a 4.5 or a 4 instead.

However I don't think I'd like these titles mixed in with all the rest all the time. Perhaps it could be an optional setting that I could turn on or off as I feel.

I thought this was interesting, so I went through all my rated movies and re-evaluated my ratings. When I was done, most of the top picks were different, and much more accurate. This is a solid idea.

I like this idea too. Maybe if you keep the "rate random movies" section it can throw a few already rated movies in there.
