Filter by Popularity
Hey there! I'd LOVE for the ability to filter my recommendations by popularity. I'm getting hit with a lot of popular films, and I know I can filter by # of ratings, but I'd love to be able to sit down and say "show me the most highly recommended rare films based on my ratings".
Thanks!

Filter by duration
I don't know why don't you allow to filter by the duration of the film. Sometimes I want to find a recommended short film and other times I don't want/have time for a 3 hours movie so i want them out.

content warning/ability to have questions answered about movie
I have PTSD and would like to be able to ask general questions about certain content. I realize that there is a lot of animosity towards "trigger warnings" and feelings that it's often misused, but there are times I genuinely really want to see a movie, but can't find any information about whether it contains certain content. Basically, I'm often forced to limit myself to light comedies which are great, but I like to branch out. If there's any way this issue could be addressed even if not through being able to have questions answered, I'd really love that, but…

Additional genre: Surrealism
There's some films on here where the best way to describe them would be "Surrealism". However, movies like Eraserhead are getting called "Fantasy" instead. Fantasy is typically meant for films that take the world and fantasize it in some semi-realistic way, or even create a completely different world that isn't too unlike our own; surrealist films completely break down the world and have far less sense and order to them. I don't feel fantasy is an adequate description of some of the more surreal films, and I think it would be best if they were labeled "surrealism" instead.

after clicking on a movie allow for easy closing of movie and back to list
I click on a movie from my recommended list and it seems like the only way to get back to my list is to hit my browsers back button. Could you make something that would just close the movie (a pop-out like this?) and then you are back to the list?

Search by low rated (rare), aspects of storylines, settings (beach)
Some people (I am in this camp) enjoy low-rated movies - think: The Room. Secondly, rather than focusing on recommendations by movies in the same genre and/or by similar rating, I believe there are people that liked watching a movie like Point Break and then want to see more movies that feature surfing and/or the beach. To my last search question, the emphasis being on the location. This isn't a novel idea - people watch that include snow around Christmas. People watch movies that include bodies of water in the summer.

Relevance
Hello everyone!
I do not find very relevant an indication based on 5 or 6 votes (which lacks consistency, given that the predicted score will probably change a lot as more users rate that particular movie).
My idea is to create a new indicator that should be named RELEVANCE.
I think the formula should be:
Confidence Level * Predicted Score = RelevanceThat way a movie with a very high predicted score based on very few ratings would not be very relevant for me (yet) - it would rate low on relevance. It would not be relevant a movie that…

Fix the year filter in the search.
I can't get rid of all the 2019 movies. I add the filter 2000-2017, but I only get movies from 2019.

Put back the pin button
I want the pin button to be accessed from the movie "card". Now I have to click the new button in the upper right corner to and then to click "Pin".
It's a good practice to put important UI elements on top, not to hide them in a submenu.

Information on where to stream each movie
Congrats on the algorithm! it's the best I've seen. Now I have a list of all the movies I want to see....it'd be great to know in which streaming service I can find each, instead of looking for them one by one.
Cheers

Put the Add to wishlist button back on movie icon
I loved before the new look being able to just add movie to wishlist when seeing it in some list. Now I have to either click the three dots or open the movie page to access that function.

Bring back old format
This one does not show release date and is less easy to navigate. Also, why are you allowing so many shorts and old, obscure films?

Description of what MovieLens does if I hide a movie.
Is it simply ignored, or does the act of hiding it, cause it to be rated 1star?

There're no tools to filter movies out based on predicted rating
Use case: I want to see some unseen movie with 4-4.5 predicted rating. There're no tools at all.
Ok you've got like "sort by recommended" thing, but what I see is no sorting at all. 1st place is 3.5 stars, then goes 3.9, then 3.5 again. Oops, very inconsistent.
Besides that, last week you've changed a good strong visual of The Five Stars to one mere number, speaking literally. Please note that human visual cortex does process countable pieces like these stars 100x faster than numbers. You should google about subitizing, I beg you. Past months and years I needed…

Year of release for each movie in homepage
I liked it when I could see the year of release of my recommendations (or of the movies I've rated) without having to click on them. Sometimes I feel like watching a more/less recent movie, or I'm just curious to know when it was released, or there can be movies with the same title but released in different years.

Rework site code to use links
Currently almost everything on site uses JS to open pages. This makes opening new tabs close to impossible and very annoying. Like this feedback window, it links to home page instead of having a proper url. Movies "links" too aren't links.
