Language Filter
The option to filter by language has been suggested I see. However, it should be taken a step further. It should include the option to filter movies only in English (or whatever language), not just all films that have multiple languages including English.

Movielens used to let you search or filter by language. I came back to MovieLens recently after an extended break and am shocked to find you can no longer do this. There were several other parameters that used to be in the old "Advanced Search" function that seem no longer to be available, which is a big and mystifying step backwards.

I would love to be able to have a selectable language field added to my profile. The idea would be to select 'English', in my case, and have MovieLens only include recommendations to me for movies that are in the English language. Right now I am getting lots of recommendations that are only in foreign languages, so for lack of a better method, I have been automatically rating all of them with a 1/2 star, in hopes that the algorithym will pick up on the fact that if it is not in English, then I will be rating it as low as possible. (I am beginning to think that the algorithym doesn't have a clue, because it keeps providing more titles that are in foreign languages rather than less)

I completely agree. It sucks getting excited about a movie only to realize it isn't in your preferred language. Especially when subtitles aren't available or you're just flat out not in the mood to read them.
