Hidden stars rating
Something that has always bothered me is that prediction rating often make my own rating biased, specially when it's a movie I saw a long time ago. It would be nice to have the ratings hidden by default and have a button or a mouse over even to reveal the predicted score.

Very true, we’ve found in our research that this is the case. It would be nice to have a “rating mode” where you can turn the predicted stars off.

What's the status of this? I've thought about this myself. I don't mind seeing the predicted rating before I watch a movie, but afterwards when I'm ready to rate, the predicted rating, if I'm torn between 4 and 4.5 stars (for example), will often make the decision for me.

I've thought about this so many times on imdb, and now when finding MovieLens.
Even though I rate very thoughtfully – it would be nice to take any bias out of the picture when in "rating mode". -

I think we all probably fall for this anchoring effect. It'd be good to have a mode where ratings are hidden (though sorting is still active)

Same here. I try to look away when rating now, or figure out my rating before hand :)

Indeed, please implement this. It is very hard to rate a movie in an unbiased way when the system throws in your face how it expects you to rate it.

Absolutely true. If I see the first prediction, after my vote it will inevitably be affected.

How about an additional button next to the 'view' option and the filters?
In addition to hiding ratings, this could also include the option of displaying average ratings instead of a prediction. In certain cases, I am more interested in the average rating (in the highest rated list, for example) and it is tiresome to look at each movie individually.
