Allow me to create multiple lists of movies
Allow me to search and compare several films at the same time. When I am confronting the programme of a film festival full with unknown movies, I'd like to add all the titles in the same place and then see a list sorted by the predicted score. Thus, I would be able to choose which films to watch.
A version of this has been added to MovieLens. Find the "add to list" button either in the "..." menu on any of the "movie cards", or the "add to list" button on the movie detail page and then you can create a list or add movies to those lists. You can view all your lists from the menu available on the top-left of the page.
Lists can be private (available only to you) or public (available to you and other movielens users with the link)

While more functionality is probably a good thing, this can easily be accomplished by tagging all the movies that would go in this list, then browsing via the tag.

I also would love the ability to make multiple lists, specifically for what I'm in the mood to watch. I love surreal movies but I wish I could sort the light-hearted ones from the bleak, upsetting ones (even though I love both!).

If a multiple list feature was available, it would also be really, really cool to get recommandations based on a single list.
For example, If I create a list "favorite movies of the 80's", it would recommend me other movies like the ones I love :) -

Yeah I think the general Wishlist should be the default list to add to but maybe you could click on an additional drop down menu giving you the option to add it to one of your other lists instead.
Even better if there were check boxes allowing you to add to multiple lists at once. For example: "Classic, Pre 1970s", "Best films of all time", "Recently released", "Heavy/Emotional films", "Foreign films", "Chick Flicks".
I understand that this could be accomplished by simply sorting or filtering through your wish list, but it still might be nice to have more control in categorizing, as well as the option for more personalized lists "Recommendations from friends" for instance or "Movies for long flights"
Alternatively...improved tag creating/browsing might be an easier more feasible option...

I've suggested dividing list of rated films by those seen on cinema sized screen and those viewed on TV. Predictions for each become far better.

Its useful to put some movies we dont remember if watched or not.... In my case, some movies in the childhood that I really can't vote with accuracy.

Very good - thanks for clarifying. I edited the title of this thread to focus on the multiple lists feature. If you think of other features that would get you the functionality you want, please feel free to start a new thread.

It would if it does not require to search for a film + add it to the list + search for another film + add it to the list + ...
