Label movies available on blu-ray
Can you label movies that are available on blu-ray? I prefer to watch movies in this format when possible.

complementary set movies
Creating "playlists" for movies. Some ideas such as pairing the anachronistic films Knights Tale, Caravaggio and Marie Antoinette together or putting films that have all physical special effects, even connecting movies that all share a creative influence people don't often look into such as cinematographer or musical composition. When having a movie experience often a viewer will become positively biased towards an influence they don't rationally notice, something similar to this idea could help people find the magic of something they have seen in another movie even if they can't place what exactly it is.

Add ability to sort alphabetically (universally)
Universally across all the pages on the MovieLens website, the 'Sort by' dropdown currently does not allow members to sort the displayed category's movies alphabetically; just 4 sort options are presented: 1) recommended, 2) # ratings, 3) release date, 4) date added to MovieLens.
From time to time (but certainly not always and certainly not as the default), I'd like to view certain pages sorted alphabetically. Almost 6 years ago, a member posted the suggestion here to add the ability to sort 'My Ratings' (specifically) alphabetically ( https://movielens.uservoice.com/forums/238501-general/suggestions/6378010-add-the-ability-to-sort-my-ratings-alphabeticall ) and a few other members agreed that they'd also like the…
1 voteSorry for taking so long to get to this, We’ve been working to rewrite some of our sort logic for a while just to clean up some really messy code that was getting in the way of changes.
It actually looks like this is implemented in the backend already, so it should definitely be added to the front-end by the next update.

Export all recommendations
Is there a way to just export the movies that are suggested that fall under "drama" for example ? Or all the recommendations and then I can filter them out - I believe I used to be able to do this on the legacy system.

Help button
I very sillily skipped the tutorial at the beginning and have struggled to work out how to rate. I realise it's not that difficult now but spent ages looking for a help button.

Charts improvements
Hi,
First of all let me tell you how helpful this website is. Thank you for your hard work!
It's a bit confusing that there's overlap of years in the "release years of your rated movies" chart. For example, there's a column for movies released between 2000 and 2005, and the next column is for movies released between 2005 and 2010. So, which column counts the movies released on 2005? The former? The latter? Both?!
Also, the "your ratings over time" could use some interactive abilities (focusing on a specific time range, filter out movies by rating, genre and release…1 vote -
Upload Netflix Watchlist history to queue movies for ratings
Netflix let's users export their watchlist which is limited to date and title so not the best for exact version matches, but it would make a good fuzzy match to a set of movies with similar names. These could be asked to be rated or at least marked as possibly watched hint to ask later.

Rating comparison
A feature to compare two specific users - presumably yourself and a friend - showing general trends and differences. For instance, users may both rate 80s action movies higher, but one might always rate Stallone movies higher and another Schwarzenegger, for instance.

sorting by least fav
rating with the least favorite movie could help engine to provide suggestion
1 voteThe ability to reverse the “recommended” sorting option should be available next update. I think this will cover your use case.

Ratings - will never watch
There are movies that I can't rate, because I did not see them, but I also know that I will never watch them. To the extent that this system tries to identify sentiment, it is important that these can be ruled out. For example, I will never watch horror movies. Will never (knowingly) watch "advertised as dumb" movies, e.g., Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, etc. type movies.

For “popularity of your rated movies,” let people see a list of the movies in question
I would love to know what my one “rare” movie is!

Wow, thanks / this and that
Firstly, I've spent lockdown day 39 trying to find a replacement for Trakt. As a subscribed pro Trakt user I am fed up with the CRAP movies it suggests to me. It thinks I am a teenage boy who loves action, horror or frat comedies. Thank the frigging lord I found you. I have also extensively tried both Letterboxd and Simkl, and none were any different from Trakt. I LOVE the way this hides stuff I have seen, I love you can hide stuff you don't want to see, for whatever reason, and I much prefer the movies it is…

IMDB "TV Mini Series" Classification
Many docuseries' that are technically classified on IMDB as a "TV Mini Series" are already in the database (ex. Jinx, The Staircase). However, adding them via a IMDB link always get rejected because of the "TV Mini Series" classification. I don't mind emailing the link for approval, but maybe this can be straightened out?

So I click on a movie to rate it...
And then I rate it. And then... I click back? And start back at the top of the list? Not very intuitive. Or efficient?
